This subject encourages students to use technology in preparation for looking for work and applying for suitable jobs.
They learn how to identify the job roles that interest them and go on to provide key personal information needed to apply for such a job.
In doing so they are able to demonstrate their ability to use of a variety of job search methods using technology – an essential skill in today’s labour market.
Through the course they also explore resumes & CVs and to personalise a C.V. template and format a personal profile statement and covering letter.
In this subject technology is used as a vehicle to prepare for work, which also leads to an accreditation in Preparation for Work. This unit contributes towards an ASDAN award or certificate in Personal and Social Development ( PSD).
Each session is planned, observed and evaluated with the student needs and interests at the centre in all that we do.
