We are quickly heading to the end of this term and that means end of this academic year. Our 3rd year students will be leaving college and going off to start there next adventure. Every year before they leave us we go on a residential camping trip with the students, this year they went to the river dart country park.
They left college on Tuesday morning and headed to river dart to ‘set up camp’ the students then had plenty of time to explore the campsite and enjoy the adventure park and in some cases the lake. Oakwood staff were definitely kept busy and on there toes. Both staff and students had a great time in the great outdoors and luckily the weather was on there side too. managed to enjoy some sunshine.
After a busy afternoon working up an appetite, they all went out to a restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal before heading back to the tents for well deserved rest.
Wednesday was equally as busy and fun filled as the students headed off to splash down in Paignton, even though it was tremendously busy the students had a great time swimming and splashing staff was an added bonus. All in all a successful trip enjoyed by all.
We would like to wish the students the best of luck in the future and we look forward to seeing many of you in our supported living in Teignmouth.
