Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills; an independent and impartial Parliament body, who inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Ofsted carry out inspections and regulatory visits and publish these result online; working with providers which are not yet ‘good’ to promote improvements, monitor progress and share best practice.
CQC Regulate health and social care services, make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage them to improve. CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish what they find, including performance ratings to help people choose care. They do this by inspecting services and publish their findings, helping people to make choices about the care they receive.
